Correctional Alternatives, Inc. was established as a not for profit 501(c) (3) corporation and began administering the Community Corrections grant in Shelby County, Tennessee in October, 1993. The Community Corrections Program is funded fully by the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections Division of Community Corrections. We are a part of a network of 19 Community Corrections Association (TCCA) and the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA).
Correctional Alternatives Community Corrections Program supervises adult felony offenders sentenced from 10 Criminal Courts of the 30th Judicial district in Shelby County. We also receive transfer cases from all parts of the State.
All offenders must meet eligibility requirements as set forth in Tennessee Code annotated 40-36-101 et. Seq.
